Renovation

Our clients Rodney & Melinda came to us in September 2018 with a renovation project in one of Newcastle’s most desirable locations. After reviewing the DA approved plans, it became evident that in order to realise the sites full potential, considering its blue ribbon location and orientation to the North, a re-design of the homes extension was required.

Stuart recommended a ‘Cathedral’ ceiling extension, including oversized glass sliding doors to the rear of the home to take full advantage of the Northern sun. This concept was recommended to replace the raked ceiling extension and much smaller glass opening that was designed.

The result – a Kitchen/Dining/Lounge Living space and central hallway bathed in Natural light all year round!

We engaged Stuart from Roddy Constructions during the 2018/2019 period for approximately 15 months to build and restore our beautiful 1905 Merewether home back to its former glory, reflecting the elegance of a bygone era.
