Tim and Amy approached us to extend their small two bedroom, single bathroom 1940s cottage. The cottage lacked living space and natural light in particular.
The design of the extension was limited by the small 350m² block. To address this we extended the house to vastly increase the size of the living areas, whilst adding an extra bathroom, renovating and configuring the existing bathroom and creating the new master bedroom where the old kitchen was located.
The use of contemporary black louvre windows and the 2.4m tall stacking door opening onto the entertaining deck provided the sense of space, light and openness that our clients were seeking to achieve.
Stuart and his team completed a renovation of our 1940s house in early 2016. Our house was dark and cramped with just two bedrooms and one bathroom. Stuart transformed this into a light and bright open-plan home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
From our first meeting with Stuart it was clear that he was the builder for us.
